Krishna
District was one of the oldest British administered areas
of Andhra Pradesh. It was formerly called Machilipatnam
district and in 1859 when the then Guntur district was
abolished, certain taluks were added to this district
which was renamed as Krishna district, after the mighty
river Krishna. |

District was formed in December 1759, under the orders
of Mr. John Andrews Government. Doubtless this Land have
been inhabited even before European Countries….
